Celebrating the quality, diversity and wholesomeness of locally and regionally produced food, Wexford Food and Wine Festival provides a platform for artisan food producers and the many critically acclaimed restaurants located in Wexford town.

New to the 2012 line-up is the Wexford Circle of Chefs featuring no less than nine of the county’s best chefs and the Wexford Rose who will demonstrate a range of signature dishes and culinary tips for budding cooks. A wine tasting reception hosted by Pettitts will take place prior to event starting at 7.00pm. Tickets €15 are available on the door, be there early to avoid disappointment

There will be in the region of 40 producers exhibiting their goods.

Visitors to the market will also have the opportunity to participate in free workshops such as Grow it Yourself, Potting Seeds for Children and Rearing Chickens and Pigs.

Also featuring on the festival programme, will be a hog roast (pig on a spit!) by Kelly’s Resort Hotel. Various restaurants will be hosting special evening meals accompanied by special wines.

A restaurant trail around Wexford town will provide food lovers with the opportunity to sample the best Wexford eateries have to offer from traditional Irish cuisine to Mediterranean food.

Sunday will again host a Wexford style Jazz Brunch  in the Talbot Hotel with all the food served being produced by members of Wexford Food Producers group, enjoyed to the sounds of local jazz musicians.
